Wiesenfest 2025 — three days of local festival at Frankenwaldsee

From Saturday, July 26 to Monday, July 28, 2025, Lichtenberg celebrated its Heimat- und Wiesenfest. Saturday opened with the beer tapping in the festival tent and festivities in the evening. Sunday followed with the traditional parade from the Schlossberg down to the festival grounds by the lake — accompanied by the Rehau music club and the Nordhalben brass band — followed by the dance of the flower arches, the crossbow shooting, and the school children's games.

On Monday, the festival concluded with the afternoon parade, traditional folk dances, and the award ceremony in the evening. As every year, locals and former Lichtenbergers from all over the world met at the Lichtenberger Wiesenfest — the tradition from 1832 lives on.
